Refund & Cancellation Policy

At Books N Ink Publishing, located in Austin, TX, we are committed to providing high-quality, customized book publishing services. Because our services involve significant time, expertise, and tailored work, we have established the following Refund & Cancellation Policy.
1. Service Fees
- All payments made for publishing, editing, design, formatting, proofreading, cover design, marketing, or related services are non-refundable once work has begun, unless otherwise specified in a signed agreement.
- Deposits or advance payments are required to reserve services and are non-refundable, but may be credited toward future services if cancellation occurs before work begins.
2. Cancellation Requests
- Before Work Begins: You may request to cancel your project before any work has started. Partial refunds may be considered minus administrative and processing fees.
- After Work Begins: Once services have started (editing, formatting, proofreading, cover design, design, development, customization, deployment, marketing, audiobook production, or publishing), refunds will not be issued, except in cases where Books N Ink Publishing is at fault.
- Package Services: For bundled publishing packages, cancellation is not allowed after the first stage of work has started.
3. Publishing Services (Self-Publishing Plans)
- Customer satisfaction is our guarantee.
- Refunds are available only for tasks that are not approved by the client.
- Tasks that have been approved by the client will not be refunded and will be deducted from any refund amount.
4. Branding Services (Logo, Author Website, etc.)
- We offer a 100% money-back guarantee if you are not satisfied before approval.
- Website projects are completed in phases:
- Design
- Development
- Customization
- Deployment & Functionality Activation
- Customer approval is required at the end of each phase.
If all phases are approved, no refund is provided
5. Editing Services
- Refunds are available only for editing tasks that are delivered but not approved.
- Once editing is approved, no refund is available.
- Change-of-mind requests after approval are not eligible.
6. Formatting Services
- Refunds are available only for formatting tasks that are delivered but not approved.
- Once formatting is approved, no refund is available.
- Change-of-mind requests after approval are not eligible.
7. Proofreading Services
- Refunds are available only for proofreading tasks that are delivered but not approved.
- Once proofreading is approved, no refund is available.
- Change-of-mind requests after approval are not eligible.
8. Cover Design Services
- Refunds are available only for cover design tasks that are delivered but not approved.
- Once cover design is approved, no refund is available.
- Change-of-mind requests after approval are not eligible
9. Marketing Services
- Refunds will not be provided due to low or no book sales. We do not guarantee book sales and do not make any sales promises.
- Once a marketing project has started, cancellation is not possible, and no refunds will be issued.
- Refunds are not available for changes of mind.

10. Audiobook Services
- If an audiobook project is only partially completed (even 15% or 50%), and you have not approved the final work, you may cancel and request a refund for the uncompleted portion.
- Once the audiobook has been approved and delivered, no refunds are available.
- Requests for changes after 15 days of delivery will incur additional charges.
11. Content Creation (Teasers, Trailers, Social Posts, Ad Creatives)
- Once delivered and approved, no refunds will be issued.
12. Third-Party Services
- Services such as G Suite email creation, copyrights, trademarks, ISBN & barcode registration, entity registration, book distribution to stores, domain registration, hosting, and similar are paid directly to third parties.
- Once subscriptions or services are confirmed and delivered, no refunds are available, as Books N Ink Publishing is not responsible for third-party refund policies.
13. Refund Exceptions
Refunds may be considered only under the following circumstances:
- Failure by Books N Ink Publishing to deliver agreed-upon services, where no corrective action is possible.
- Duplicate payment errors.
- Refund requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and must be submitted in writing to support@booksninkpublishing.com.
14. Project Delays & Client Responsibilities
- If a project is delayed due to missing information, manuscripts, or client approvals, Books N Ink Publishing is not responsible for cancellations or refunds.
- Clients are responsible for providing timely responses and accurate materials for all publishing projects.
15. General Terms
- If you have an issue with your project after work has started, you can contact our Complaints Department at support@booksninkpublishing.com, which will review your concern and try to resolve it.
- Refunds will be provided only if we are at fault.
- Change-of-mind requests are not eligible for refunds.
- If a refund is approved:
- Only tasks that were not delivered or not approved will be refunded.
- Tasks that have been delivered and approved will be deducted from the refund amount.
16. Policy Updates
- We reserve the right to modify or update this Refund & Cancellation Policy at any time.
- The updated version will be posted on this page with the new effective date.
